NewTown: frustrated employee attacks police with knife as leave application gets rejected

A violent incident took place in New Town when a man, an employee at the Technical Building, attacked several police officers with a knife after a dispute over his leave application. The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly became agitated after his leave request was blocked. He first attacked three security personnel at the Technical Building before leaving the premises with a blood-stained knife. He was seen walking on the streets of New Town, holding the knife and causing public concern.

The incident began when the man’s leave application, which had been pending, was not approved. In frustration, he confronted his colleagues, who were security guards at the building, and attacked them with a sharp knife, leaving them injured. Afterward, the man exited the Technical Building and walked along the streets of New Town with the bloody weapon, further alarming the public.

Police were notified of the situation and arrived on the scene shortly after. Upon their arrival, the man, still holding the knife, was confronted by officers. Despite the presence of law enforcement, he continued to hold the weapon and refused to cooperate. The police were able to subdue and arrest the individual, taking him into custody for further questioning.
